Changing Wireless Card in SeriaLynx

Remove 4 screws in the lid, and remove lid.

• Carefully peel membrane covering the lights & power switch off the front .
• From the inside, remove the two small black plastic extender pieces covering the power switch and the "?" switch.
• Remove the 2 silver screws holding down the motherboard.
• Remove the screw posts on each side of the the DB9s (four total).
• The motherboard can now be removed by prying it out carefully from the front (non-DB9) side.
• On the bottom side of the motherboard is an ordinary PCMCIA ethernet card.

Jumpers & Different Card Voltages

Battery voltages 3.3 or 5v. Jumpers are on right side of SeriaLynx, looking at SL from the DB9 side. Jumpers to battery side means 3.3v configuration. Jumpers to side OPPOSITE battery is 5v.

Zoom Air card is 5 volts

IBM card is 5 volts

Compaq card is 3.3 volts
