1. Start with the S4 turned off.

2. Hold "program + line test" switch down as S4 is switched on, then use yellow button to choose program 2 .

3. Push BOTH red & yellow buttons to clear, "bar a" will show. This can be finicky. If you have problems, first press and hold the yellow, and with the yellow still down, press the red.

4. Push "delay time" switch down to choose time allowed. Use red & yellow buttons to increment the time.

5. Push "delay time" switch down again to choose countdown, make sure this is 0 if you don't want a countdown.

6. Push "delay time" switch down again and S4 will zero. Wait a sec, and once timer shows 0:00 hit "delay time" again and set:

df = 1.0 delay finish

ds = 1.0 delay start

lze ein = running tenths (can be used either way)

lf ch1-2 = running time on both channels

tau ein = thousandths on hun

ein = doesn't matter, if thousandths is set correctly

pri = doesn't matter

7. Finally, hit red + yellow to reset clock to zero. S4 is now ready for timing.
